Ashley | Erik :: I Do.

Those who have been following me know that I don't usually post multiple posts in a week and definitely not multiple weddings but I really couldn't resist posting another this week!  This one has a completely different vibe than Atinuke and Ademola's... and this is precisely why I love photographing Weddings. Each couple brings something unique to their day. They personalize it and share special touches that represent themselves as a couple. As you will see here Ashley and Erik went above and beyond to make their wedding their own... First of all they chose to have the wedding on their Grandmother's waterfront property... Many, many family events have been held here and it is clear to me that the traditions will continue...

From our first phone call, Ashley, Erik and I were laughing and discussing how to make the day flow and run as planned. A couple after my own heart... plan, plan, plan... details, details, details...

As the day got going it was so fun to see the excitement brewing. Ashley and her lovely ladies were so anxious to see the guests arriving that they had to get a sneak peak from their top deck...

Then the time finally came... and dad took his beautiful daughter down the aisle... Look at the smiles... jeez, I love weddings precisely for these moments...

It's always amazing to me, how what you would think are simple sentiments to a loved one can mean so much on a wedding day. It almost always chokes me up...

A new favorite ring shot! And a pair of flower girls who were irresistible!

Ashley, you were absolutely radiant in every way!

Grandma gave a lovely toast and tribute to the happy couple as well as to all those who were in attendance. I was so happy to be able to get an entire group shot for this celebration.

After being put through the ringer Ashley and Erik enjoyed a good laugh and a refreshing cool down in the fancy portable restrooms!  Why yes, AC is refreshing, don't  you agree? Maybe some fresh lemonade next time? Goofballs...!

Ashley and Erik didn't miss a single detail and they treated their guests with a feast so summery, so New England...

And since I still had their attention and the property was so amazing we trekked out for more photos... You guys are so lovely!

.... and you have great moves ;)

Mr. & Mrs, LOVE IT!

No wedding would be complete with out a sibling Dance Off... luckily this one ended on the friendly side...however, a strapless dress should be considered a handicap... just sayin'.

Not only are Ashley and Erik incredibly in love, they are also incredibly genuine and compassionate. The next day (on labor day weekend of the start of their honeymoon, mind you) I received an Amazingly Thoughtful phone call from Erik. At first I was afraid I'd left something on the property, or god only knows what else... but no, he was calling to say thank you... seriously, Yes, they wanted to make sure I was thanked for the job I had done the day before!  Really people... that is so special!  Ashley and Erik, Thank you... thank you for being so generous and kind. I wish you many years of happiness, health and love!  And I hope to share many more memories with you as the milestones occur!  Cheers!
